On January 10th, the Round Table for Sustainable Fashion took place. It was the last meeting of the Sustainable Fashion Team, operating within the UN Global Compact Network Poland since April 2022.

The meeting began with speeches by the most important individuals for the activities of the Round Table:

Marta Karwacka, PhD, Senior Manager, Sustainability Consulting Central Europe, Deloitte,
Agnieszka Oleksyn – Wajda, Head of Instytut Zrównoważonego Rozwoju i ŚrodowiskaUczelnia Łazarskiego w Warszawie (Sustainability & Environment Institute at the Lazarski University)
Kamil Mirowski, Senior Public Affairs Lead Polska & CEE, Zalando,
Aleksandra Chrabota UN Global Compact Network Poland, who from the very beginning coordinated the work of the Team.

Robert J. Reinhardt, Sustainable Business & Strategy Consultant in the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), discussed the international perspective on proposed regulations and the significance of circularity in the fashion industry.

During the event, the position statement and 10 recommendations from the Sustainable Fashion Team regarding EU regulations were presented. These are of particular importance for the footwear and textile sector in Poland. Learn more about the position statement here: https://bit.ly/3H9Sgqn

OTCF S.A. was represented at the event by Przemysław Feliga, Head of Sustainability, who participated as a speaker.
