Winter is coming and we have just launched the first upcycling project in the history of 4F: UPCYCLED JACKETS. DOG APPROVED - unique upcycled jackets for small dogs that were created with your pets' warmth and comfort in mind. Still, not all four-legged companions are lucky enough to have a home, let alone warm clothes. That's why we decided to get involved in finding new owners for the residents of the Psie Pole animal shelter: Lidia, Szufcio, Szymcio and Psotnica. Will we find them a home before winter?

The aim of the shelter is to provide care for abandoned and unwanted cats and dogs that are brought there after municipal offices, police and municipal police report animal neglect or abuse. Oftentimes, the pets were taken away from their owners because they were mistreated or lived in poor conditions. Some animals are very young (a dozen or so days old), while some are adult, as well as elderly (above 10 years old).
The caretakers at the shelter go out of their way to fix what others have neglected. They do their best for the animals to recover and to find loving homes where they will be able to live the carefree life that they deserve!
The dogs are up for adoption!
Lidia is an adult, average sized (weighing about 12 kilograms) five-year-old female dog. Lidia loves being showered with attention and pets, she craves human companionship. She would be happiest sitting in her carers' lap for days. She gets along with other dogs, but she's quite possessive and will defend her bowl when necessary. Lidia arrived at the shelter after an accident which resulted in a surgery on her hind paw. Right now she's doing better every day: she's running, jumping and playing with other dogs.
Szufcio is a male dog, around three years old, weighing around 8 kilograms. Until recently, Szufcio was wandering around the neighbourhood and was very afraid to come up to people. He arrived at the shelter wearing a collar, which means that he probably used to have a home and owners in the past. Right now, Szufcio is slightly more confident and allows people to pick him up and pet him. He knows how to walk on a leash.
Szymcio is a small dog with a nice personality and a huge heart. Szymcio is an adult dog, about 5 years, and weighs around 6.5 kilograms. He just craves human attention, loves getting pets and being around people. We know nothing about his past but his behaviour suggests that he once used to have a home where someone took great care of him. Szymcio knows how to walk on a leash and gets along with other dogs. He's rather calm so he will be just fine living both in a house with a backyard and in a flat.
Psotnica is a young female dog - she's only about 8 months old. She's tiny and petite (at about 6 kilograms), but she boasts an impressive overbite ;) It's no accident that she's called Psotnica [eng. troublemaker], for she has lots of energy and loves mischief, preferably in company: both of humans and other dogs. She loves being carried around and would love to stay in your arms forever! Psotnica knows how to walk on a leash, loves walks, and is exceptionally curious.
